The Church is Insane

“…’and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. ‘ 2 Chronicles 7:14

One question, is our land healed? Second question, Is abortion off the table? Third question, Are the Bible & The Pilgrims Primer still standardize reading for our schools? If you have to ask why that’s important, than you know little of American history. I don’t know a lot, but at one time these were standardize reading.

I think the answer to all these questions is, NO!

The verse says, “…and My people… humble themselves…pray…seek…turn from their wicked ways…”

Notice it doesn’t say if your country, your political leaders, society, or any body else but “My people…”. So, if our land is not healed, and if fact is spiraling in the exact opposite direction, WHO’S FAULT IS IT?

What’s the definition of insanity…? So, I have walked with the Lord for 40 years+, seen many revivals in different ages, genders, and stages of my life, but we continue to make little progress. Continue to do the same thing over & over again and expect different results. That is the church.

Personally, I don’t think you are asking the right questions yet.

Times of Life

You’ll be forced at times your life to wander in the desert. You’ll be commanded at times to go forward to take your promised land. Then there will be times in your life when you are to sit quietly and wait upon the Lord. Any one of these times can be months, days, or even years. These times can intertwine. The scariest and most challenging will be when you were called, no commanded, to take your promised land.

The time to sit quietly before the Lord is not five minutes or an hour in the morning. It is not a lifestyle. Its more of a place, a mountain, a beach, or a field in your mind that you rest. It’s a rest for days, months, even years, when you don’t pray, ask, or praise. You rest. It is the quietest of life.
